Fairy Meadows

Fairy Meadows is a grassland near one of the base camp sites of the Nanga Parbat located in the Diamer district of Gilgit Baltistan in Pakistan. The place was named by the German climbers. At an altitude of about 3,300 metres (10,800 ft) above the sea level, it serves as the launching point for trekkers summiting on the Rakhiot face of the Nanga Parbat. It was decleared as the National Park by the Government of Pakistan in 1996. The place is often referred to "Heaven on Earth" beacause of its mesmerizing location and lush green mountains with the sight of snow covered K2.

The tourist season starts in April and continues until the end of September. The place generates revenue of 17 million rupees from tourism only. If you are the one who loves camping, Fairy meadows is the best place for you.

10k feet above sea level

Lo & behold!

So here is one of the most popular place of my hometown. The name is Ganga Choti. The most important aspect of this beautiful & ancient hill top is that it is 10000 feet above sea level which is way too much. A beautiful piece of art by the nature.

Ganga choti is located right above a village named as Bani Minhasan. From Islamabad it takes a 4 hour drive to a city named Bagh which is my hometown aswell. From Bagh it takes  40 minutes of drive on to the top of Ganga Choti. No hike required not even a 4x4 jeep is required to reach to the top. Your normal car can do the job easily. However, there is a 15 minute minor hike to reach to the top of Ganga choti & that’s it! You are 10000 feet above from the world!

A perfect place for family outings specifically in the winter season because the road is cleared & there the entire mountain & surroundings are covered up with white beautiful Snow. Here are some pictures of it in the summer season

Bruti, A Hidden Gem

If you live in Rawalpindi/Islamabad and your to-go picnic spot is limited to Murree or Nathiagali at max. Well, no more. Since you are at the "Travel anywhere and Everywhere" blog, we will make unknown places known to you.

First of all i would like to thank my friend Hasaan Subhani who brought this place into our knowledge. Bruti is located 4km from Quaid e Azam University Islamabad. The place is very near to Shrine of Bari Imam and could be easily find by using google maps. There's no hike as such, you have to walk for half an hour to get to this place. You can park your cars/motorbikes at the Bari Imam Shrine. A few moments after walking, you could see the water springs. Bruti has got a lake which happens to be surrounded with the lush green trees.

Bruti is not a crowded place even on the weekends. Which makes it a family friendly place. Before you plan a picnic to Bruti, let me tell you that this is not all developed. Which means you find any restaurant or tuc shop there. So plan your trip accordingly. Keep a check of food, first aid kit, water and check on your car as well. Remember to have a spare tyre that may help you in case of emergency as you won't find tyre shop aswell.

That's it. Enjoy the pictures.
